I bought myself a motorcycle and had a wonderful time. The surroundings of Melbourne are really beautiful. There were tours to Lorne, over the Australian Alps, to Portland, Belgrave, Healesville, Mount Buangor, and so on. Norman Allen, my loyal and good friend, helped me with everything to do with the bike. He comes from a very nice family whom I don't want to forget. Arnold Hinchcliff, another motorcyclist, was always with us - a friend, and yet never a real friend; he always believes that he, and he alone, knows everything. Altern, who later married the youngest daughter, I am very fond of, but Ami, his wife, mostly gets on my nerves. Jack Atkinson of Bendigo...

forgives and prays for You. Die Tochter ist eine alte Jungfrau, welche das Haus fuehrt. Sie ist sehr kommisch, aber ich muss sagen d Sie macht jedermann ein gutes Heim. Ich kaufte mir ein Motorfahrrad und ich hatte eine Wunderschoene Zeit. Die Umgebung von Melb. ist wirklich schoen. Touren nach Lorne ueber die Aecst. Alpen, Port-land - Belgrave Hillswill(?). Montaenu buang(?) u.s.w. Norman Allen mein treuer und guter Freund helfte mir mit allem verbunden mit dem Fahrrat. Er kommt von einer sehr netten Familie welche ich nicht vergessen will. Arnold Hintschhliff(?) ein andere Motorfahrer war immer mit uns ein Freund und doch nie ein richtiger Freund Er glaubt immer dass er und nur er allein weiss alles. Altern(?) welcher spaeter die juengste Tochter heiratete habe ich sehr gerne, doch Ami(?) seine Frau get mir meistens auf die Nerven. Jak Akterson(?) von Bendigo
