[Continuing from the previous page: ...forgives and prays for you.] The daughter is an old spinster who runs the house. She is very odd, but I have to say she makes a good home for everyone. I bought myself a motorcycle and had a wonderful time. The surroundings of Melbourne are really beautiful. There were tours to Lorne, over the Australian Alps, to Portland, Belgrave, Healesville, Mount Buangor, and so on. Norman Allen, my loyal and good friend, helped me with everything to do with the bike. He comes from a very nice family whom I don't want to forget. Arnold Hinchcliff, another motorcyclist, was always with us - a friend, and yet never a real friend; he always believes that he, and he alone, knows everything. Altern, who later married the youngest daughter, I am very fond of, but Ami, his wife, mostly gets on my nerves. Jack Atkinson of Bendigo...
